Location Overland Park, KS Unit Information Number of Beds: 25 Patient Ratios: 1:2 Staffing Description: Charge Nurse, Unit Secretary available from 7 AM to 11 PM; no Technicians. Type of Equipment: Alaris pumps, GE monitors Documentation System: MediTech Scheduling Requirements: Self-scheduling with every third weekend required Floating Policy: Travel/Agency staff are the first to float; can only float to telemetry to take patients, or serve as a helper/resource in other areas. Patient Experience Requirements: AIDET methodology for effective patient interaction Qualifications Experience: Must have critical care experience Skills: Strong communication skills and adaptability to change Advanced Skills: Neuro and trauma experience is a plus Procedures Performed on Unit: Open heart recovery, cardioversions, bronchoscopies, CRRT, Impella management Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS Dress Code Required uniform: Scrubs in Royal Blue.
