Key Responsibilities

In your role as an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will:

• Evaluate and Assess Patients: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify movement limitations, strength deficits, and range of motion challenges due to orthopedic conditions.
• Develop Personalized Treatment Plans: Craft individualized rehabilitation strategies by working with patients to establish their recovery goals, while taking into account their medical histories and physical capabilities.
• Implement Evidence-Based Treatments: Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and therapeutic exercises, to facilitate recovery.
• Provide Patient Education: Instruct patients on their conditions, expected recovery timelines, and provide targeted home exercise programs to promote self-management and adherence to rehabilitation plans.
• Monitor and Document Progress: Track each patient’s progress meticulously, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
• Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Engage in multidisciplinary discussions with physicians, orthopedic surgeons, and other health professionals to deliver coordinated and effective patient care.
• Maintain Accurate Records: Keep up-to-date documentation of all interactions, treatments, and patient progress, complying with local regulations and clinic policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with adult patients who are recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Your focus will be on helping these individuals enhance their physical capabilities, alleviate pain, and restore function, ensuring they can return to their everyday activities with confidence.

Qualifications

To be considered for this rewarding position, candidates must possess:

• A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A current and valid California Physical Therapy License or eligibility to obtain.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in orthopedic rehabilitation and therapy.
