The Group Vice President, Mobile will be responsible for shaping and executing Mediacom's mobile strategy, including product, go-to-market, and business growth initiatives. This leader will provide leadership, vision, and direction to a team of mobile product managers, web developers, marketing managers, and billing specialists, as well as Mediacom's integrated partners. A key responsibility of this role is to ensure that Mediacom's mobile products and solutions align with business objectives and meet the highest standards of quality and innovation. The successful candidate will be a strategic, hands-on leader who brings a blend of technical expertise, innovation, exceptional team management skills, and strong commercial, financial, sales, marketing, and operational acumen. This role will serve as the senior business owner for Mediacom Mobile, with accountability for subscriber growth, market positioning, bundled offer development, device lifecycle economics, strategic partner management, and long-term profitability. The incumbent must have a "roll up the sleeves" attitude and embrace a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset dedicated to growth and execution. This position will report to the Senior Vice President, Operations, Product Strategy & Consumer Experience and will require some travel, approximately 30%, to meet with local vendors and partners, as well as other Mediacom locations throughout the country. Position Responsibilities: Mobile Strategy & Business Case: Develop, execute, and refine the mobile strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and ownership of the business case, including investments, returns, market expansion, customer segmentation, broadband and mobile bundling, and the roadmap to improve revenue, margin, and EBITDA contribution. Go-to-Market: Develop and manage pricing, customer acquisition, customer retention, and promotional strategies to deliver the target economics of the business. Lead product positioning, discount architecture, channel strategy, and customer engagement plans that drive adoption. Proven ability to transform multi-channel sales environments, including retail, call centers, and digital, into high-performing engines that drive mobile adoption and seamless cross-sell within the existing subscriber base. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a talented team of mobile developers, designers, product managers, marketing leaders, and other cross-functional contributors to foster a collaborative and innovative environment. Build and scale the internal mobile organization and partner ecosystem needed to support execution and long-term growth. Product Development: Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to delivery, ensuring the on-time and on-budget development of high-quality mobile services. Translate customer insights, competitive dynamics, and business priorities into roadmap decisions, service enhancements, and customer experience improvements. Device & Supply Chain Management: Lead portfolio development, ranging, and lifecycle management of smartphones, accessories, tablets, and wearables, as well as value-added services including device protection, trade-in, upgrade, and BYOD. Manage vendor contract negotiations and OEM relationships while overseeing device lifecycle economics, assortment strategy, and margin performance. Strategic Partnerships & Market Agility: Lead negotiations with OEMs, platform providers, and MNOs to optimize wholesale costs, secure device subsidies, and maximize marketing support. Proactively monitor the competitive landscape to ensure Mediacom's commercial terms and market positioning remain aggressive and profitable. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with departments such as marketing, sales, customer support, finance, billing, operations, and technology to ensure alignment with the company's brand and customer needs. Partner across digital, call center, field, retail, and other channels to drive a consistent and effective customer experience. P&L Management: Develop and manage the mobile division's budget, allocate resources effectively, and optimize project delivery costs. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly measure and report on the success and performance of the mobile division relative to goals, including subscriber growth, gross adds, net adds, attach rate, churn, ARPU, lifetime value, device margin, customer satisfaction, and EBITDA contribution. Compliance and Security: Ensure mobile products and partnerships adhere to all relevant regulations, compliance requirements, and data security standards. Maintain disciplined governance over vendor performance, commercial terms, and operational readiness. Required Qualifications: Proven track record of 12+ years of progressive experience in the wireless, mobile, MVNO, cable mobile, or broader telecommunications industry, including at least 7 years of experience leading and managing diverse cross-functional teams and providing end-to-end leadership across vendor management, device ecosystems, and execution, supported by strong, established industry relationships. Experience at a Mobile Network Operator or MVNO is highly preferred. Demonstrated experience successfully launching, managing, and scaling mobile and/or service-related products from concept to delivery, with responsibility for subscriber growth, revenue, ARPU, and margin performance. Demonstrated experience working with device OEMs and developing a roadmap to support popular smartphones, tablets, and wearables, including value-added services such as device protection, trade-in, upgrade, and BYOD. Extensive experience working with vendors and strategic partners, supported by established industry relationships and success negotiating commercial agreements. In-depth knowledge of the mobile market, including industry trends, technologies, platforms, and development methodologies, particularly in the MVNO space. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and clearly communicate and present ideas to all levels of the organization. Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience developing business cases, forecasting demand, managing promotions, and evaluating lifetime value, acquisition cost, device economics, and profitability. Proven experience developing bundled or converged offerings, ideally combining broadband/internet and mobile services.
