Position: Content Manager Arrangement: Onsite Role Overview The Nix Company is looking for a Content Manager to join our growing team. This is a highly collaborative role that blends creativity, strategy, and execution to bring our clients' brands to life across social media and digital marketing. You'll work with a variety of clients across the restaurant, hospitality, retail, and CPG industries, helping create content that captures attention and drives results. This role is heavily focused on creating social-first content, with a strong emphasis on filming and editing iPhone video for Instagram Reels and TikTok. You'll spend a significant portion of your time planning content, capturing video on location, editing engaging short-form content, and helping brands show up authentically on social media.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Capture and edit high-quality iPhone video for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and other short-form platforms. This is a core responsibility of the role. Manage social media accounts from planning through publishing, ensuring content is on-brand, on time, and aligned with each client's goals. Own the creative direction of your accounts by bringing fresh ideas and engaging content concepts to the table. Lead content shoots from planning to final edit, producing engaging photo and video content for social media. Design eye-catching graphics for social media, email campaigns, digital ads, and other marketing materials. Build visually engaging, on-brand email campaigns. Collaborate with teammates, clients, and creative partners to bring campaigns to life. Own your accounts by managing timelines, approvals, revisions, and deliverables while keeping projects on track. Stay ahead of social media trends, platform updates, and emerging content styles to keep our clients' brands fresh and relevant. Help uphold The Nix Company's creative standards by reviewing content, providing thoughtful feedback, and supporting interns and teammates as they grow.

WHO YOU ARE

You appreciate a good aesthetic and can't resist a beautifully curated social feed. You're constantly thinking in Reels and TikToks. You instinctively notice trends, hooks, transitions, and storytelling techniques that make people stop scrolling. You have a knack for capturing what makes a brand unique and turning it into content people actually want to engage with. You're equally comfortable filming, editing, designing, and publishing content. You take ownership of your work and keep projects, deadlines, and revisions organized without being reminded. You communicate proactively and aren't afraid to ask questions or share ideas. You love collaborating, brainstorming, and believe the best creative work happens as a team. You have a high creative standard and a sharp eye for the details that elevate good content into great content. Creating short-form video is second nature to you. You enjoy filming just as much as editing and understand what performs on today's social platforms.

QUALIFICATIONS

3-5 years of experience in content creation, social media, graphic design, or a similar role. Strong portfolio required with multiple examples of original iPhone-shot Instagram Reels and TikTok content. We're looking for someone who has personally filmed and edited engaging short-form video, not just designed graphics. Must be comfortable appearing on content shoots, directing talent, capturing B-roll, and quickly producing engaging vertical video for social media. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with Premiere Pro and/or After Effects is a plus. Experience creating and editing short-form video for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and other digital platforms. Experience managing social media accounts from planning through publishing. Strong understanding of design principles, including typography, color, layout, and visual storytelling. Experience creating social graphics, email campaigns, and other digital marketing assets. Familiarity with platforms like Mailchimp or Klaviyo is a plus. Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills. Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not required.

COMPENSATION & HOURS

This is a full-time, salaried position based in our Dallas office. Compensation is competitive and will be based on experience, skills, and portfolio. Our team works Monday through Friday during standard business hours, with occasional content shoots or events outside of the typical workday.
