(USA) Overnight Stocking Coach, Non-Complex, Management

Position Summary Lead and develop teams effectively by teaching, training, actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, technology initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduce and lead change efforts, provide clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions, and communicate business objectives to teams. Responsibilities Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards, following the One Best Way (OBW) service model and managing customer service initiatives such as store-of-the-community and community outreach programs. Resolve customer needs, complaints, and issues; develop action plans to correct deficiencies and improve processes, ensuring a high‑quality customer experience. Drive the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing PL statements, managing budgeting and forecasting, controlling expenses, and ensuring effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes. Mitigate shrink and develop action plans to achieve sales and profit goals for the business area. Supervise and provide development opportunities for hourly associates: hire, train, mentor, assign duties, set clear expectations, recognize contributions, and promote a sense of belonging. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and the Open Door Policy; maintain and promote the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and compliance. Build high‑performing, inclusive teams that embrace differences, foster trust, and build a workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected. Act with integrity, holding oneself and others accountable, and support Walmart’s goal of becoming a regenerative company by fostering positive impacts on associates, customers, members, and the world. Serve customers and members by delivering results with a customer‑first mindset, adapting to how, where, and when customers shop, and applying the Everyday Low Price (EDLP) and Everyday Low Cost (EDLC) business models. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience plus 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience plus 1 year of supervisory experience. For firearms‑selling facilities: successful completion of a firearms‑specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training; for ammunition facilities, a current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required. Completion of all job‑required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings). Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership (e.g., Live Better U, Bellevue University); experience supervising five or more direct reports with responsibility for performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing. Salary The annual salary range for this position is $71,000.00 – $100,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses and, for certain positions, regional pay zone, complex structure, and state pay differential as applicable.
