X-Ray Technologist

Join a physician-owned ambulatory surgery center where your skills in fluoroscopy and orthopedics directly support high-quality outpatient care in a predictable weekday schedule. As our X‑Ray Technologist, you will work closely with pain management and orthopedic surgeons in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented OR environment with no weekends, no call, and generous benefits.

• We are looking to hire a PRN rad tech for days when we have Pain management and total joints/Spine scheduled (1-2x a week)

Position Summary

The X‑Ray Technologist is responsible for providing high-quality fluoroscopic and radiographic imaging to support pain management injections, orthopedic procedures, and spine surgeries in our ambulatory surgery center. This role also serves as the facility’s Radiology Safety Officer, promoting safe use of ionizing radiation for patients and staff while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is  dependable , flexible, and demonstrates a positive, professional attitude.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform intraoperative fluoroscopy using a C‑arm for pain management injections and spine procedures.
• Provide high-quality radiographic imaging for orthopedic cases, including total joint replacements and spinal surgeries.
• Act as the facility’s Radiology Safety Officer, overseeing radiation safety practices, monitoring, and documentation.
• Ensure proper positioning, technique, and radiation protection for patients and staff during all procedures.
• Verify patient identity, procedure, and laterality; participate in time-outs and safety checks per facility policy.
• Assist with equipment setup, breakdown, and troubleshooting for imaging devices and related OR equipment.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and scrub technicians to support efficient case flow.
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
• Be willing to cross‑train and assist in other OR support roles as needed to meet daily operational needs.
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused culture and exceptional patient experience.

Schedule and Compensation

• Job type: PRN
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, day shift (no weekends, no call, no nights).

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of medical imaging experience (ambulatory surgery, OR, or pain management experience strongly preferred).
• Strong ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Exceptional patient care skills and professional communication with patients, families, and staff.
• Demonstrated reliability, flexibility, and positive work attitude.
