Allied Technician - Respiratory Therapist

Respiratory Therapist
The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing Cardiopulmonary Services and following protocols approved by the medical staff and department policies. This role involves delivering timely diagnostic and therapeutic services to both inpatients and outpatients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians with both invasive and non-invasive procedures.
- Deliver medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas.
- Maintain patient airways and manage ventilators.
- Perform insertion of arterial lines and intubations.
- Conduct pulmonary function studies, cardiac and pulmonary stress tests, and blood gas analyses.
Qualifications:
- National Board of Respiratory Care certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
- Valid Florida Respiratory Therapist license.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications, issued by the American Heart Association.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in respiratory therapy.
- Previous travel experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is advantageous.
