Pediatric Anesthesiologist

Navicent is seeking a full-time Pediatric Anesthesiologist to join their team in Macon, GA. This position offers a magnificent work-life balance within a nationally recognized, premier teaching hospital. The role involves providing a full array of anesthesia services for Atrium Health Navicent Medical Center, a large facility with a Level I Trauma Center and a children's hospital. Practice Info Practice offers a full array of anesthesia services for Atrium Health Navicent Medical Center Macon, GA-based facility recognized for excellence on a national level and among the premier teaching hospitals in the United States Second-largest hospital in Georgia with 637 licensed beds for medical surgical, cardiac surgery, trauma treatment, and pediatrics Facility has a Level I Trauma Center, a children's hospital built in 2019, 34 operating rooms and several ancillary suites, and a stand-alone outpatient facility Practice consists of 16 anesthesiologists and 58 anesthetists, including CRNAs and Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants (CAAs) Care team model where everyone has a voice, while supporting, respecting, and helping to deliver care excellence Responsibilities Case assignments: General surgery, cardiac, pediatrics, OB and GYN services, ortho, trauma, plastics, ENT, urology, and neurosurgery Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures Pre-anesthesia assessment Obtains and/or verifies patient consent Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition Performance of clinical intervention as needed Compensation Salary: $565,000 Sign On Incentives including Loan Repayment and Training Assistance options: $30,000 Benefits Generous paid time off Generous benefits package, including: Health, life, vision, dental, disability, and AD&D insurance Flexible Spending Accounts / Health Savings Accounts 401(k) Fully paid malpractice insurance coverage Leadership and professional development opportunities Shift & Schedule 4:1 ratio Monday thru Friday 0700 until the cases are done (usually between 1500-1700 but could run longer) Call from when the cases are done until 0700 next day Monday thru Friday 24 hour beeper call on the weekends (Saturday and Sunday) Schedule is flexible and will be determined with other providers but no more than three weeks a month Requirements M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine ECFMG and FLEX Completion of approved residency in anesthesia Fellowship Trained in Pediatric Anesthesiology Currently licensed as a physicianaa415a4b-8b21-40fc-a65c-70d2b25ca29a
