Saw OperatorThe Saw Operator will identify, issue, and saw material per work order instructions.ResponsibilitiesInterpret work order instructions to prepare material for cutting.Follow procedures for proper inspection of material and cut size.Cut and issue material per work order instructions.Tag material with work order number, count, and next operation using proper color code tags.Stage material for shipping using proper shipping guidelines.Keep work areas and machinery clean and maintained.Train and use proper lifting equipment (forklift) when handling material.Constant focus on safely operating machinery and handling of material.Understand proper operating procedures for Hem saw, chop saw, band saw, and Kasto.Update AX lot notes with all material changes.Transfer remaining material back to inventory locations.QualificationsBasic computer skills, read written directions, take verbal instructions, able to use measuring devices, and basic math skills.Shop environment, use of proper PPE including gloves, eye protection, and hearing protection required. 50 lb. lifting limit.
