Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the Operating Room. Supervises the nursing team and collaborates with surgical staff to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients pre-operatively to determine their health status and readiness for surgery.
• Develop and implement individualized perioperative care plans in coordination with surgical teams.
• Administer medications, anesthesia, and other treatments as required during surgical procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond swiftly to any changes in condition.
• Educate patients and their families about pre- and post-operative care instructions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and safe surgical experiences.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Prior experience in acute care or perioperative nursing strongly recommended.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certification in perioperative nursing preferred.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
