CAD Drafter

BATON ROUGE : Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Drafting & CAD Technician to support engineering and manufacturing operations within a production environment. This role is responsible for developing accurate 3D models and detailed technical drawings for mechanical seals and related components while supporting multiple internal departments to ensure efficient and precise production workflows. Essential Duties: Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings using Autodesk Inventor or similar CAD software. Ensure all drawings are accurate, properly dimensioned, and meet required tolerancing standards. Select appropriate finish stock numbers and manufacturing data to support production processes. Provide technical support to production, manufacturing, sales, customer service, and materials control teams. Maintain and organize engineering documentation, drawings, and technical files. Assist with calculations and technical information requests for both internal teams and customers. Support project timelines by meeting deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality expectations. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure smooth workflow and design alignment. Requirements/Skills: Experience with solid-based CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks. Understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments. Knowledge of quality assurance principles and drafting standards. Strong attention to detail and high level of organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines consistently. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Prior experience in a manufacturing or engineering setting preferred. Physical Requirements: Primarily office-based role involving extended periods of computer and CAD workstation use. Ability to sit, stand, and perform repetitive computer-related tasks as needed. Occasional interaction within manufacturing or production areas may be required. Must be able to communicate effectively in person, over phone, and via electronic systems.
