Workday Project Manager

As we continue to expand our Workday practice, we are seeking a Project Manager to lead full‑cycle Workday deployments and ensure successful client outcomes. Position Overview The Workday Project Manager is responsible for leading end‑to‑end Workday implementations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to client expectations. This role partners closely with internal consultants, Workday resources, and client stakeholders to drive execution, mitigate risk, and maintain delivery excellence. This individual will operate within the Workday deployment methodology and support predictable, low‑risk implementations aligned to defined scope and deliverables. Key Responsibilities Lead full‑cycle Workday deployments across HCM and related modules (e.g., Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, Benefits, Recruiting, Talent) Own the overall project plan, including timelines, milestones, deliverables, and dependencies Facilitate project kickoff, status meetings, and executive steering discussions Ensure adherence to Workday implementation methodology and defined scope boundaries Manage risks, issues, and change control processes throughout the project lifecycle Coordinate cross‑functional teams including functional consultants, data, and integration resources Partner with clients to align on scope, priorities, and expected outcomes Monitor project progress to ensure timelines, calls, and deliverables are consistently met Serve as the primary escalation point for project‑related concerns Ensure successful completion of key phases including: Requirements gathering Design and configuration Testing and validation Go‑live and post‑go‑live support Support data readiness, testing coordination, and client‑side accountability for deliverables Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders Client Engagement & Delivery Build strong, trust‑based relationships with clients through proactive communication and reliable delivery Guide clients through a structured deployment approach focused on efficiency, standardization, and minimal customization Ensure alignment between business requirements and Workday capabilities Drive successful adoption and readiness throughout the implementation lifecycle Qualifications & Experience 5+ years of experience managing HRIS or ERP implementations, with Workday experience strongly preferred Proven experience leading full‑cycle Workday deployments or similar SaaS implementations Understanding of Workday modules such as HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, or Talent Demonstrated ability to manage project timelines, risks, and cross‑functional teams Experience facilitating client‑facing meetings and executive‑level communications Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship Why Join The Encompass Group?
