Respiratory Therapist

The Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides essential respiratory care in an acute care setting, including administering treatments, managing ventilators, performing pulmonary diagnostics, and implementing patient-specific care plans. They respond to emergency events, document care in the EMR, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Leadership responsibilities may include serving as Lead RCP during shifts. Qualifications State RCP license and current BCLS, ACLS, PALS (within 60 days), and NRP (preferred) certifications. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC. Minimum 2 years of experience preferred. Educational requirements include an associate or bachelor’s degree (preferred), with high school diploma or equivalent required. Skills & Attributes Ability to work in high-acuity, critical environments. Strong collaboration and communication skills. Ability to manage complex respiratory equipment and diagnostics.
