Senior Accountant (Nashville Metropolitan Area)

I am looking for a Senior Accountant to join a well-established, mission-driven healthcare company in the Nashville, TN area, serving a broad and diverse patient population across multiple service lines.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile General Ledger accounts; post journal entries and reconcile schedules for assigned accounts
• Own the capital asset/fixed asset process, including tracking funding sources through to recording monthly depreciation
• Coordinate month-end close and assist in preparation of monthly financial reports
• Analyze AR and revenue data to identify trends and anomalies, moving beyond purely transactional work
• Assist with payroll, budget preparation, and vendor payment/tax processes as assigned
• Prepare and present monthly expense and variance reports for assigned departments
• Ensure assigned accounts are audit-ready and reconciled on a timely basis
• Serve as a process improvement facilitator/analyst for assigned teams
• Support year-end audits and cross-train others on accounting procedures as needed
• Comfortable presenting financials to and eventually working directly with department leaders

Requirements

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Full-cycle accounting and strong monthly close experience
• Healthcare industry experience preferred
• Basic exposure to financial reporting, with the ability to help elevate reporting quality
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field strongly preferred
• Oracle or similar large-scale ERP experience preferred, with strong Excel skills
• Capital asset/fixed asset accounting experience a plus
• Genuine eagerness to grow and help drive change within a team
