Job Description

The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely transporting materials, products, and inventory throughout a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment. This role supports production, shipping, and receiving operations by operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment, ensuring materials are delivered accurately, efficiently, and safely. Training may be provided for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment to move, load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility.
• Organize, stage, and distribute raw materials and finished products to support production and shipping schedules.
• Inspect materials and products for quality, accuracy, and damage while maintaining inventory organization.
• Follow safety procedures, work instructions, and housekeeping standards to maintain a clean and efficient work environment.

Essential skills

• Ability to safely operate forklifts and perform material-handling tasks in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, and move materials throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to safety, organization, and accuracy when handling inventory and products.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.

Additional skills and qualifications

• Previous forklift operating experience and knowledge of warehouse operations preferred.
• Experience with loading and unloading trucks, staging materials, and inventory movement.
• Familiarity with production environments, quality inspections, and shipping/receiving processes.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and following written or verbal work instructions.

• Opportunities available on 1st and 2nd shifts, with limited openings on 3rd shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Crosse, WI.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in La Crosse,WI.
