Medical Benefits Financial Underwriter / Account Executive

C. Winchell Agency, Inc.

Description : Underwrite group health plans across fully insured, minimum premium, level-funded, and self-insured arrangements. Project future plan costs and assess carrier renewal actions for accuracy and competitiveness. Use actuarial modeling tools to develop alternative funding strategies, assess financial impact of plan design changes, and support strategic decision-making. Analyze claims utilization data to identify cost drivers and recommend financial strategies. Model employee contribution scenarios to support equitable benefit structures. Conduct holistic reviews of new business opportunities and present insights and recommendations to prospective clients. Stay current on industry trends and emerging cost containment strategies. Requirements : 7+ years of experience in group medical underwriting at a carrier and/or consulting firm. Active Life, Accident, and Health Insurance License. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills. Can be hired for NYC, Long Island or NJ office locations.
