CNC Laser Machinist

Responsibilities

As our CNC Laser Machinist, you will be the go-to person for setting up, programming, and operating our state-of-the-art CNC laser cutting systems such asTrumpf, Amada, Bystronic

• Setup & Operation: Load materials, select proper nozzles/lenses, calibrate focal points, and execute programs on Fiber or laser cutting machines.

• Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints to ensure parts meet exact specifications.

• Quality Inspection: Use calipers, micrometers, and gauges to perform first-article and in-process inspections.

• Material Management: Work with various gauges of carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.

• Troubleshooting: Adjust machine parameters (gas pressure, feed rate, laser power) to optimize cut quality and minimize dross.

• Light Maintenance: Perform routine daily PMs (preventative maintenance) on the laser equipment to keep things running smoothly.

The essential functions of this role include:

• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time
