Specimen Processor

Labcorp seeks a Specimen Processor for its Jonesboro, Arkansas location to prepare laboratory specimens for testing and analysis. The role involves specimen handling, data entry, and occasional phlebotomy in a fast-paced clinical environment, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Unpack, sort, and route specimens to appropriate staging and testing areas
• Identify, label, and accurately pack specimens for shipment
• Enter patient information and specimen data in laboratory systems
• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections as needed
• Document and resolve problem specimens while meeting production goals

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Comfortable identifying and handling biological specimens accurately
• Strong data entry and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to pass standardized color blind test
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Preferred: 1+ years specimen processing or accessioning experience
• Preferred: 6+ months phlebotomy experience in clinical setting
