Surveillance Supervisor

Position Overview The Surveillance Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team of surveillance officers, monitoring casino activities, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. This pivotal role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a keen understanding of casino operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Work alongside a team of surveillance operators during assigned shifts. Provide guidance and support to members, ensuring a collaborative and high‑performing environment. Monitor live and recorded video feeds to identify irregularities, suspicious activities, and potential violations. Investigate incidents, prepare incident reports, and maintain accurate records. Ensure all areas of the casino, including gaming floors, entrances, and high‑value areas, are under continuous surveillance. Collaborate with surveillance staff to assess situations and make real‑time decisions when addressing security concerns. Provide information to Security, Legal, and People department heads regarding potential criminal activity or risks. Ensure compliance with gaming regulations, company policies, and relevant laws. Maintain knowledge of laws and regulations (including Title31, federal regulations, OSHA, Nevada Gaming Control Board) and communicate changes to relevant parties. Prepare and submit detailed reports regarding surveillance findings, incidents, and investigations. Coordinate and conduct training programs for surveillance officers, focusing on procedures, technical skills, and ethical conduct. Facilitate ongoing professional development to enhance the team's capabilities. Collaborate with technical teams to resolve equipment issues promptly. Collaborate with other departments to address security concerns and maintain a safe environment. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Temporary or permanent duties may be added as deemed necessary. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (required). At least one year of progressive experience supervising surveillance operations at a luxury resort. Familiar with Nevada Gaming Standards and Regulations. Knowledge of all table games and casino procedures. Knowledge of gaming regulations such as Title31, local jurisdictional gaming laws, Nevada Revised Statutes, and gaming minimum internal standards. Proficiency with surveillance software (iTRAK, BJ Survey, AS/400, Table View), Microsoft Office, eConnect POS System. Strong communication skills; ability to deal with guests and patrons, deescalate concerns, and resolve problems. Ability to accurately document observations and testify regarding findings. Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and collaboration skills. Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, holidays, and weekends. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment. Must be at least 21 years of age. Legal requirements: Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations. Additional Requirements Language: Ability to read and interpret documents in English and communicate verbally and in writing. Reasoning ability: Apply commonsense and problem‑solving in standardized situations. Physical demands: Stand, use hands, reach, lift up to 50 lbs, perform tasks in varied work areas.
