Palisades Tahoe Eligibility Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. Compensation Base salary range: $64,480 - $89,463.31 per year. Salary varies based on experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular or required travel. Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Essential Job Responsibilities Ensures customers and employees are treated courteously, safely and efficiently. Provides supervision and guidance to team in accordance with Palisades Tahoe policies and employment laws. Manages staff in a proactive, feedback‑driven environment. Interviews, hires, trains, and appraises performance of employees at all locations. Leads, coaches, and inspires the softgoods team to deliver outstanding guest service and exceed sales targets. Monitors KPIs such as UPT, ADS, conversion, and capture; implements daily actions to improve performance and meets or exceeds all daily, weekly, and monthly budget numbers. Prepares monthly sales reports for top‑selling items. Maintains mobility between multiple locations ensuring consistent best practices. Maintains harmony among team members and resolves grievances. Determines work priorities, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow. Performs all duties of sales associate and cashier. Manages schedule in accordance with labor budget. Manages all aspects of Workday time approvals and workflows. Monitors inventory, transfers product between locations to maintain an efficient level of inventory. Demonstrates leadership in creating relationships with guests to maximize service and sales goals; coaches team to improve performance. Responds to customer and management complaints. Ensures accurate inventory and pricing in Retail Pro system. Understands and trains on Retail Pro system. Develops and manages store budget; reviews financial transactions and monitors budget to ensure expenditures stay within limits. Produces monthly variance reports. Completes a weekly walkthrough of store with assistants, analyzes merchandise, store presentation, standards, and other needs, creates action plan for the week and ensures follow‑ups. Ensures all promotional items are sale‑priced and price‑pointed in groups. Accounts for all security issues involving cash, theft, liability, and premises. Assists accounting with fiscal year‑end inventory to auditor's specifications. Competencies And Job Requirements Ability to perform all sales associate and cashier skills. Excellent communication, organizational, and administrative abilities. Proven leadership ability working in a team environment, and ability to develop people. Self‑motivated, guest‑oriented, works well under pressure. Ability to effectively present information to management and customers. Positive energetic attitude toward guests and peers. Computer skills required. Knowledge of trends in the industry and adaptability to our customer base. Communicates Patagonia's mission and activism efforts clearly and regularly to staff and customers. Ensures product presentation aligns with Patagonia's visual standards and storytelling approach. Works with Buying and Distribution Center Team on regular logo replenishment to support KPIs. Physical Requirements Employees must be able to walk or stand 40 % or more of a normal 8‑hour shift, occasionally carry, lift, push, or pull up to 35 lb, and occasionally squat, bend, kneel, reach, and balance. Must be able to climb ladders and shovel snow. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Working Conditions Indoor/Outdoor: Employees are frequently exposed to outside weather conditions, including extreme cold, wetness, humidity, blizzards, and extreme storm conditions. Hazardous Materials/Noise: The noise level is usually moderate. Equipment used: Computer, cash register, pricing tools. Education And Experience Minimum of 3 years experience in retail sales or related experience. Minimum of 2 years experience in supervisory position. Preferred: Experience in ski industry.
