With operations across the U.S. and globally, we are committed to safety, innovation, and quality.Job summary: Under general supervision, distributes either production or non-production items and materials to various locations throughout the plant. Materials may consist of purchased parts and in-process parts, return-to-stock parts among other materials.Responsibilities:Maintains inventory accuracyMoves parts, WIP or finished product and delivers mail packages to various department locations and/or warehouse locationsOperates various material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, rolling carts or forkliftsMaintains the required documentation of all parts and materials moved in accordance with the specified proceduresDrives in various road conditions, small roadways, highwaysEnsures work areas and other designated work areas are maintained in a safe and neat mannerEnsure all material and inventory remains properly identified and stored free from damage or deteriorationAssists with the training and instruction of new employees who may be assigned to this areaSet work priorities to meet production goals as scheduled per assigned departmentEstablish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those in contact on a day-to-day basisRequirements:Three (3) years- experience in warehouse environmentForklift experience preferredAttention to detailProficient in computer use for data entry, part scanning or transacting, printing of picklist and schedule reviewMeet minimum standards of safety and housekeeping per assigned departmentHave a valid Ohio Driver's LicenseAbility to read metric tape measures and use measuring devicesAbility to perform all operations within acceptable inventory accuracy, quality and time standardsMust have the ability to read, write, and perform mathematical computations at a level required for successful job performancePhysical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and armsThe employee frequently is required to walkThe employee is occasionally required to stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlAbility to regularly lift and/or move up to 40#'s without assistanceAbility to work from various squatting, kneeling or bending positionsAbility to work with arms above headAbility to work from ladders or scaffoldingAbility to stand at a workstation for eight hours a day (minus specified breaks.)Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standardsAbility to safely use specified hand, air, power tools, and machineryAbility to operate and understand the operation of all protective safety equipment in the areaSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and depth perceptionHand-Eye coordinationRequired to handle and dispose of hazardous wasteUnderstanding and carrying out required oral and written directionsWork Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical partsThe employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibrationThe employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicalsThe noise level in the work environment is elevatedPersonal Protective Equipment Recommended and/or Required: Safety glasses if walking in plant vicinity.
