Epic Provider Support Trainer

Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Midwest region as an Epic Provider Support Trainer, where you will lead the Electronic Health Record (EHR) training program and provide ongoing support for provider staff. This role involves designing innovative curricula, including virtual and eLearning modules, and developing structured continuing education programs to enhance provider efficiency and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the Epic training environment, including builds, maintenance, and implementation of change requests.
  • Educate staff on system updates, review release notes, and prepare for planned upgrades.
  • Collaborate with department leaders, providers, and frontline employees to identify performance gaps and develop tailored learning interventions using best practices and instructional design principles.
  • Translate clinical and non-clinical workflows into effective training content.
  • Deliver classroom and virtual training sessions, prepare lesson plans, and document training activities.
  • Develop and maintain eLearning content and support ongoing education initiatives.
  • Promote continuous improvement by sharing Epic application expertise with team members.
  • Provide additional training support as needed, including on-call assistance during business hours.
Education

A high school diploma is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.

Experience

Preferred 3-5 years of experience working with Epic systems.

Certifications and Licenses

Epic certification or accreditation is preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of completing required training. Clinical licensure or relevant healthcare experience is also preferred.

Mental and Physical Requirements

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and generate reports. May occasionally work unusual hours to resolve project issues. Requires standing, walking, sitting, and moderate lifting (up to 15 lbs).

Working Conditions

Office environment with noise and distractions, well-lit and climate-controlled. Extensive computer use may cause visual or muscular discomfort. Potential exposure to infectious diseases.
