Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Variable Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Emergency Department License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS Must-Have: - Minimum 2 years Emergency Department experience - Active RN License Description: This position is for a registered nurse in an emergency department setting. The unit has 23 beds with a patient ratio of 4:1. Nurses are all registered nurses, with technicians assisting in the lobby and a secretary present. Standard emergency department procedures will be performed. The unit is recognized as a Level IV trauma center and a primary stroke center. It is also accredited for chest pain with PCI available 24/7. Nurses are required to wear royal blue scrubs. Nail polish must be clean and healthy, and artificial nails, gel, or next-gen nails are not permitted. Hair should be neat and clean without extreme styles or colors. Facial hair should be kept clean and neatly trimmed. Hair longer than shoulder length must be pulled back while on duty. Visible tattoos and body art should be covered whenever possible. Visible piercings other than earrings are prohibited. Shoes must be constructed of a non-absorbent material with slip-resistant soles. Breathable mesh athletic shoes with leather or man-made upper materials are not permitted. Attendance policies will be enforced as per company guidelines. Floating may be required as needed.
