Pay: $18 per hour

Tue-Fri, 7am - 5pm

I. Job Summary

Performs a variety of general manual labor tasks under direct supervision, primarily in outdoor conditions.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Directing customers to appropriate lanes
• Picking up trash and maintaining recycling areas (approximately 30 minutes per day)
• Lifting and moving materials
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Digging and refilling holes
• Mowing grass, trimming, and operating equipment
• Assisting with other manual labor tasks as needed
• Performing additional duties as assigned

IV. Qualifications

A. Education and Experience Required:

• High school diploma or G.E.D., and 0–4 years of prior manual labor experience

B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, or Other Requirements:

• Must have steel toe boots
• Other certifications not required, but equipment operation experience is a plus

C. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
• Ability to follow safety procedures and site rules
• Ability to work as part of a team

V. Work Schedule and Environment

• Tuesday through Friday 7 AM to 5:00 PM
• Work is performed primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Frequent physical activity, including lifting objects under 30 pounds
• Occasional exposure to occupational hazards (cuts, burns, chemicals)
• Exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and other environmental elements typical of waste/recycling sites
