Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Finisher – Prep & Finish role in Portland, OR . Our client is a well-established industry leader known for innovation and a commitment to delivering the highest quality products. Pay: $20–$25 per hour DOE

· Prepare surfaces and materials for finishing, including sanding, cleaning, masking, filling, and other required prep work.

· Apply stains, paints, sealers, clear coats, and other finishing materials according to specifications and quality standards.

· Perform detailed sanding and surface preparation to ensure materials are ready for finishing.

· Inspect surfaces before and after finishing to identify imperfections and ensure a consistent, high-quality appearance.

· Mix and prepare finishing materials according to established procedures and specifications.

· Operate spray equipment, hand tools, sanders, and other finishing equipment safely and effectively.

· Perform touch-ups, repairs, and refinishing as needed to meet quality expectations.

· Maintain proper application techniques to achieve consistent color, coverage, texture, and finish.

· Follow work orders, production specifications, and finishing instructions.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including proper handling and storage of finishing materials.

· Collaborate with production and quality team members to ensure finished products meet customer and company standards.

· Promptly report quality concerns, equipment issues, or safety hazards to supervisors.

· Previous surface preparation, sanding, painting, coating, or finishing experience preferred.

· Candidates with strong prep experience who are looking to grow their finishing skills are encouraged to apply.

· Experienced finishers with hands-on knowledge of stains, paints, sealers, clear coats, spray applications, and related finishing processes are strongly encouraged to apply.

· Experience using sanders, spray equipment, hand tools, and other finishing equipment preferred.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to identify surface imperfections and finish-quality issues.

· Ability to follow work instructions, specifications, and established finishing procedures.

· Ability to work independently while maintaining production and quality expectations.

· Strong teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills.

· Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with preparation and finishing work.

· Competitive hourly wage of $20–$25 per hour DOE .
