Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners as a Special Education Teacher for grades 1-2 in a supportive elementary environment. This contract opportunity focuses on cross-categorical instructional programming for students with diverse academic, behavioral, communication, adaptive, and functional needs—including a significant number identified with autism. You’ll work closely with a dedicated team to align instruction with grade-level standards and address each student’s individual IEP goals.

Leverage your expertise to implement a range of supports, including visual, behavioral, sensory, and communication interventions, ensuring every learner can thrive. Collaborative partnerships with related service providers form a key part of the school’s holistic approach, while classroom aides and additional 1:1 staff are available to help meet IEP requirements and student needs.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Valid state certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with elementary students, ideally in grades 1-2.
• Knowledge of cross-categorical instructional strategies.
• Proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs.
• Familiarity with structured teaching, visual supports, and behavioral interventions.
• Comfort supporting students with autism and related needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide differentiated instruction to students with varying needs, balancing grade-level curriculum with targeted IEP goals.
• Utilize a range of instructional and behavioral supports tailored to each student.
• Collaborate actively with aides, service providers, and fellow educators.
