Creative Account Manager

Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite) Duration: 3-Year Contract Max PR: $48/hr

We are seeking an experienced Communications Specialist / Account Manager to support the development and execution of integrated communications and marketing initiatives. This role serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and creative teams, ensuring projects are strategically aligned, delivered on time, and consistent with brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business objectives and communication needs.
• Develop, write, and refine creative briefs that translate business goals into actionable creative direction.
• Manage creative projects from intake through final delivery.
• Collaborate closely with designers, copywriters, and creative teams to execute campaigns across multiple channels.
• Coordinate timelines, budgets, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations.
• Ensure brand consistency across all communications and marketing initiatives.
• Support integrated campaigns including digital, social media, print, direct mail, video, and web projects.
• Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships while providing strategic communication guidance.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, Marketing, or related field.
• 5+ years of Account Management, Communications, Marketing, or Creative Project Management experience.
• Experience managing creative development projects from concept through execution.
• Experience writing and managing creative briefs.
• Proven collaboration with designers, copywriters, and creative teams.
• Experience managing multi-channel marketing or communication campaigns.
• Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

• Agency experience or experience within an in-house creative/marketing organization.
• Experience in regulated industries such as Utilities, Energy, Healthcare, Banking, Insurance, or Telecommunications.
• Experience with creative workflow/project management platforms such as Workfront, Workamajig, Wrike, Asana, or Monday.com.
• Knowledge of branding, advertising, and integrated marketing communications.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate has a strong background managing creative projects and marketing campaigns, excels at stakeholder management, understands brand strategy, and has hands-on experience partnering with creative teams to bring communication initiatives to life. Candidates with primarily sales, business development, or strategy-only backgrounds will not be a fit for this opportunity.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid schedule with three days onsite per week following onboarding. Candidates must be comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
