Lead Project Engineer

Our client, a global leader in the power generation and energy technology industry, is seeking a Lead Project Engineer - Americas to join their team. As a Lead Project Engineer , you will be part of the Project Engineering Department supporting Project Management, Engineering Teams, EPC Partners, and Customer Operations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, problem-solving ability, and a customer-focused mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Lead Project Engineer - Americas

Location:

• Greenville, South Carolina (3 positions)

• Schenectady, New York (3 positions)

Pay Range:

$57 per hour

What's the Job?

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers and EPCs

• Provide technical project leadership and coordinate engineering activities across teams

• Lead customer meetings including CKOMs and Design Liaison Meetings (DLMs)

• Manage engineering scope changes, cost/schedule impacts, and change orders

• Resolve cross-functional technical issues and mitigate project risks

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Project Engineering, Design Engineering, or Field Engineering

• Ability to travel approximately 10%-15%

• Strong communication and leadership skills (verbal and written)

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Must Have

• Experience working in Project Engineering, Design Engineering, or Field Engineering

• Customer-facing technical or engineering experience

• Strong communication skills with ability to interface with clients and cross-functional teams

• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering OR equivalent experience (5+ years if no degree)
