About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar specialty License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - Previous Charge Experience - Experience with patient ratios of 1:6 - Epic charting system experience Description: The position requires a Registered Nurse with experience in a Medical/Surgical/Telemetry environment. Candidates must be flexible with scheduling and have a strong understanding of compliance requirements. The nurse will work three 12-hour night shifts each week, with some holiday and weekend rotations. This role will involve duties such as administering blood products, managing peripheral lines, and starting IVs. The nurse must be capable of handling various patient conditions and performing tasks like EKG interpretation and isolating precautions. Responsibilities will include working as Charge Nurse as needed and floating between departments if required. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as will be the ability to use Rapid Response teams effectively. Candidates will be subject to passing a Pass/Fail EKG exam during onboarding. All applicants should have experience in managing complex medical situations and utilize critical thinking in their nursing practice. Education verification is mandatory, and applicants must not have any open background check cases. Covid-19 and flu vaccinations are required, with exemptions for medical or religious reasons only.
