Duties include preparing foods and kitchen for the day, including chopping, cutting, pulling food from walk-ins, starting equipment, etc., preparing and cooking foods/meals either to order or in large quantities according to recipes in a ski resort restaurant/pub or or ski resort cafeteria, serving prepared meals to waitstaff, cleaning work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, etc., closing kitchen at the end of the night by cleaning, taking care of food and waste, and shutting off all equipment. This position involves cleaning duties related to items used in cooking (including the cleaning of cooking equipment, cooking areas, cooking utensils, etc.), items used for dining and general restaurant operations (dishes, utensils, vessels, etc.), as well as emptying trash (taking care of food waste and other waste). In general, the primary focus of the position (75% or more of job time) is on cooking and food preparation, but cleaning duties are involved secondarily (25% or less of job time), including cleaning of areas and items used in food preparation, as well as occasional duties involving what would generally be considered dishwashing. Having cooks handle cooking duties primarily, and also cleaning duties secondarily, including occasional dishwashing, is part of the employers normal practice, is consistent with the practice of similar employers in the area, and is also a necessity due to the inability to hire enough staff to allow cooks to focus exclusively on cooking and have other workers focused exclusively on cleaning and dishwashing. 35+ hours per week, Monday-Sunday (2 days off, varies), multiple shifts available that start as early as 6:00 AM and end as late as 9:00 PM, $21.10 per hour, overtime possible at $31.65 per hour; temporary, full-time position (December 9, 2026, to April 30, 2027). No minimum education required; 2 months of commercial kitchen experience required; on the job training provided; raises/bonuses may be offered to workers at companys sole discretion based on work performance, skill, tenure. Optional housing is available from $700 to $800 per month depending on location of bathroom, it requires a security deposit equal to a half months rent, and payments are not deducted from paycheck and handled separately. Employer offers to help workers find housing. Paid weekly using a single workweek as the standard for computing wages due. Standard payroll deductions as required by law. Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if worker completes half the employment period; the amount for daily subsistence will be at least $16.78 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts; return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Reimbursement within one week after the start of work of visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
