About the Position

Job Title: CVOR Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Duration: 15 Weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Two years of experience preferred - Clinical screening required Description: Unit details include cardiovascular and thoracic, transplant, and robotics specialties. Weekend call is subject to change based on departmental needs. Staff may float within the facility and to the Main OR as needed. The unit accepts first-time travelers with the minimum experience required. Candidates will undergo a clinical review to determine fit. If the candidate passes and meets guidelines, they will be sent to management for final decision. Request time off is limited to a maximum of seven days. If one major holiday falls during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work both. If three major holidays fall during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work at least two. Compliance is fully required to start on time. Local candidates are accepted at the same rate. Travel experience is preferred. Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Daily census and room details are not specified. Key skills required include various surgical techniques and equipment handling related to cardiovascular and thoracic procedures. The unit features interdisciplinary support and cares for a variety of patient diagnoses.
