In Boise, you'll collaborate closely with a team of skilled surgeons and compassionate nurses, ensuring that each patient's surgical journey is seamless and centered on their comfort and recovery. Your expertise will shine through, whether you are preparing a patient for surgery, providing essential pre-op education, or expertly assisting in procedures, knowing that your contributions profoundly impact patient lives. Job Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients, including physical examinations and thorough assessments of their medical histories
- Assist in assessing and diagnosing surgical conditions by interpreting lab results and imaging studies
- Work closely with surgeons to develop and implement tailored surgical treatment plans
- Provide critical intraoperative support by ensuring proper surgical preparation, patient positioning, and instrument handoff
- Administer exceptional pre- and post-operative care, including medication management, wound care, discharge planning, and patient education
- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Clinical rotations with a focus on surgical procedure experience are preferred
- Current, unrestricted PA-C certification
- BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory
- State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
- In-depth understanding of surgical practices and sterile techniques
- Proficiency in interpreting diagnostic tests and contributing to clinical decision-making
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure environments, especially during surgical procedures
