Job Title: Travel RN Oncology - GU/Uro Clinic Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Hours (08:00 - 16:30) Experience: Minimum 2 Years License: Valid Compact or State License Required Certifications: BLS Required Must-Have: First-timers accepted No weekends or call required Description: Travel RN Oncology position in a Genitourinary Clinic. The role offers a day shift, with no weekend work and no on-call obligations. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in oncology nursing. Experience in managing care for adult and geriatric patients is preferred. Candidates must be proficient in the use of the electronic health record system. Charting experience with a specific system is required. Previous charge nurse experience is a plus. Experience with outpatient oncology is beneficial. Key skills include managing ports, administering chemotherapy and blood products, and understanding isolation precautions. Candidates should be familiar with procedures such as Foley catheter insertion and central line care. Knowledge of patient care protocols for kidney, prostate, and bladder cancers is essential. The team provides interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, and social services. Daily duties may include administering chemotherapy and conducting minor procedures. Familiarity with the special equipment used in the unit is expected.
