Intern

Internship Program Josiah White's invites college students who wish to gain first-hand clinical, program development, or leadership experience in human services, social work, or a related field to apply for our internship program. Placements can be made with our residential, family preservation, or foster care programs. Students may participate in our internship program at any of our Indiana locations including: Wabash, Fort Wayne, Greenwood, Indianapolis, Merrillville, and South Bend. Students will be able to observe and participate in activities that further support their education experience. Learning objectives, goals, and training requirements are determined on an individual basis in conjunction with the agency supervisor and are established based on course curriculum requirements and their college/university's experiential learning expectations. Students must be at least 21 years old and enrolled in a current bachelor's or master's program to be considered for placement. Additional requirements include: Must be a Christian with strong convictions who is also in agreement with Josiah White's mission statement, Statement of Faith, and Code of Conduct Must be able to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries Must demonstrate sensitivity to our service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and needs Must be mature, emotionally stable, and able to work with children of various ages and behaviors Must be personable, genuine, empathetic, and emotionally connected in helping students, relating with families, and working with placement agencies Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions Normal work hours will vary depending on the position for which you're interning and the needs of our clients.
