Join Our Dynamic Inpatient Rehab Team!

Job Description:


- Unit Highlights:
- Inpatient Rehab Unit (IPR)
- Location: Fort Worth, TX
- Building/Floor/Suite: 3E
- 18 Beds with a Patient Ratio of 5-6:1


- Shift Details:
- Shift: 19:00-07:00
- Length: 13 weeks
- Workdays: Weekend Rotating
- Guaranteed Hours: 36

- Special Skills and Experience Required:
- Prior acute rehab experience preferred
- Willingness to learn specialty patient mobilization skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to be coached on rehab documentation

- Preferred Skills:
- Experience with neurological, cardiac, or orthopedic adult populations
- Inpatient (acute) rehabilitation and Long-term acute care (LTACH) nursing

- Certifications Required:
- BLS

- Procedures Performed on Unit:
- Indwelling and straight urinary catheterization
- Peripheral IV insertions
- Blood administration
- Central line dressing changes
- Wound dressing changes as ordered
- Surgical drain removal
- Suture/staple removal
- Other medical-surgical nursing procedures as ordered

- Patient Experience:
- Prefer 2 years of inpatient hospital experience (medical-surgical, stepdown critical care, or inpatient rehabilitation)
- Experience in neurological, cardiac, or orthopedic nursing is a plus

- Dress Code:
- Scrub Color: Royal Blue tops and pants in good condition (no fading, facility logos)
- Clean and healthy nails (no artificial nails)
- Neat and clean hair; no extreme styles or colors
- Beards, mustaches, and sideburns should be clean and neatly trimmed
- Body art should be covered whenever possible; visible piercings beyond ears are prohibited
- Must wear facility-issued PPE, including N95s and face shields

- Unit Guidelines/Policies:
- Floats to medical-surgical units as needed
- Attendance Policies: Company-wide attendance policy will be followed
