Chemist I, Manufacturing

Support the development and transfer of new chemical products as well as the sustainment of finished goods by verifying material release specifications, maintaining manufacturing and testing processes, and implementing equipment and raw materials to ensure production demands are met. Job duties:

• Interface with other departments to solve production problems.
• Sustain manufacturing processes for current products.
• Support the validation activities for chemistry products.
• Perform and report analytical testing.
• Investigate non-conformances/out-of-specification testing results.
• Synthesize chemical monomers following validated manufacturing procedures.
• Day-to-day tasks performed under supervision.
• Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned (e.g., create presentations, reports, etc.).

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related field of study.
2. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
3. Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Word.

Desired Qualifications

1. Ability to read and prepare technical documentation.
2. Working knowledge of standard laboratory equipment, synthetic organic transformations, wet test methods, and qualitative and quantitative measurements.

Physical

• Extended periods of computer use.
• Extended periods of walking and standing while continuously performing duties.
• Extended periods of reaching and standing in a controlled environment (e.g., clean room, laboratory, etc.).
• Occasional stooping, kneeling, or bending.
• Frequent light lifting, up to 25 lbs.; occasional moderate lifting, up to 50 lbs.
• May be required within the position to be in an environment that can include radiation exposure (such as in Cathlabs).

Salary Range

$73,819 - $79,026 (Financial compensation packages may be higher/lower than listed, & will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, internal equity, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand)
