Human Resources Generalist

HR GeneralistWe are looking for an HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team. You will support multiple HR functions including policy enforcement, employee engagement activities, employee relations, timesheet support and other essential HR functions. Reporting directly to the HR Business Services Manager you will support performance management processes while coordinating training programs and assisting with benefits administration and enrollment for the site.Key ResponsibilitiesHelp implement and monitor compliance with company proceduresHelp conduct workplace investigations under guidanceSupport conflict resolution and mediation effortsSupport policy communication programs and employee training programsSupport performance management processesManage employee engagement activitiesProvide first-level support for employee inquiries and concernsHelp maintain positive employee relations through multiple HR programsHelp with recruitment and onboarding processesMaintain employee files and HR databasesHelp with payroll preparation and coordinate with payroll vendorsReview and process employee timesheets for accuracy and completenessAddress timesheet discrepancies and work with employees to resolve issuesMaintain accurate records of employee hours, overtime, and leave timeEnsure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulationsOther duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, with 1-2 years of Human Resources work experience or High School Diploma/GED with 6-8 years of Human Resources work experience.Experience with HR principles and best practicesKnowledge of employment laws and regulationsExperience with HRIS systems (ADP, Workday, Ceridian)PHR, SHRM-CP, or other HR certification (or willingness to pursue)Previous experience in policy development or complianceBilingual capabilitiesThis position requires full-time onsite presenceAnnual Salary Range: $61,800 – $90,400 USDAbout us: PPG: WE PROTECT AND BEAUTIFY THE WORLD™Through leadership in innovation, sustainability and color, PPG helps customers in industrial, transportation, consumer products, and construction markets and aftermarkets to enhance more surfaces in more ways than does any other company.
