Full Pay Range: $70,053.98 - $95,476.39 Lateral entry up to $75,043.58 will be considered for those with qualifying experience. Benefits at the Town of Sunnyvale include: Medical, dental, and vision insurance, 100% paid for employee only coverage, 70% paid for dependent coverage Town-Funded Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) - $1,500 annual contribution Texas Municipal Retirement System (TMRS) - 7% employee contribution matched 2:1 by the Town 457 and Roth retirement options Participation in Social Security Flexible Spending Account Long-Term Disability Paid Vacation and Sick Leave Twelve (12) paid holidays per year and one personal day Town-paid Basic Life Insurance of 2x annual salary, up to $100,000 Optional Supplemental Life Insurance up to 3x annual salary Tuition Reimbursement 48/96 shift schedule Certification and Assignment Pay Sunnyvale ISD enrollment for eligible children Minimum Qualifications (Firefighter Paramedic): High School Diploma or GED Must have Paramedic certification from the Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS) or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Paramedic Certification with the ability of obtaining TDSHS certification upon hire Must have Firefighter Certification from the Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP) Valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a Class B Non-Commercial driver’s license within six (6) months of hire Must pass drug screen, pre-employment physical, and physical agility test Minimum Qualifications (Paramedic Only): High School Diploma or GED Must have Paramedic certification from the Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS) or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Paramedic Certification with the ability of obtaining TDSHS certification upon hire Must have the ability to obtain Firefighter certification from the Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP) within twelve (12) months of hire Valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a Class B Non-Commercial driver’s license within six (6) months of hire Must pass drug screen, pre-employment physical, and physical agility test Qualified candidates will be required to pass a physical agility test, which will be administered at the Mesquite Fire Department Training Ground on July 29, 2026 at 9:00am.
