Job OverviewA well-established regional medical center in Hickory, NC is seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants for a locum tenens cardiology opportunity. This role focuses on inpatient care within a collaborative and well-supported cardiology team.
About the LocationHickory offers a perfect blend of small-town charm and urban amenities in the foothills of western North Carolina. Enjoy easy access to the Blue Ridge Mountains along with proximity to Charlotte for additional dining, entertainment, and cultural activities.
Facility Overview- Regional medical center with comprehensive cardiovascular services
- 38-bed cardiology unit
- Strong team of cardiologists and experienced support staff
- Provide inpatient cardiology support alongside cardiologists
- Perform daily rounding and patient consultations
- Manage approximately patient encounters per shift
- Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 6:00 PM
- Occasional weekend coverage required
- EMR: Cerner
- Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (Cardiology)
- Previous inpatient cardiology locum tenens experience required
- Active North Carolina license required
- North Carolina DEA required
- BLS certification required
