Ensure that all requirements and regulations for patient care and safety are followed while providing high quality images. To perform a variety of diagnostic radiographic images, the technologist uses radiation safety measures and protective devices to ensure safety of patient and team member. Operates radiologic equipment including portable machines for diagnostic purposes, ensures equipment is functioning properly, and reports any malfunctions to the manager. Follows precise procedures for exposure, positioning, and safety of the patient; assumes responsibility for ensuring proper image quality for each radiological procedure. Positions patients according to radiologist protocols. Transports and operates portable X-Ray equipment, properly identifying patients using hospital protocols. Maintains required CE'S as needed for licensure, and operates all X-Ray equipment, computers, phones, and fax machines. 1-2 years of experience preferred; new graduates may be considered.
