Credit & Investment Associate: Strategic Financing & DD (Hybrid)

Job Type Full-time Opportunity CSC is seeking an experienced Associate to serve as part of our Credit & Investment team. The Associate plays a key role in the transaction review process, leads due diligence, and prepares investment memoranda. The role requires independent judgment, strong analytical skills, and offers rapid career growth within an expanding team. Ideal candidates will have experience in venture lending, investment banking, commercial or corporate finance, with a focus on senior debt, asset‑based or mezzanine financing. Applicants should demonstrate financial statement modeling competence and the ability to synthesize information into concise investment memos presented to Internal Investment Committees. The position is based in CSC’s corporate office in Richmond, Virginia, with optional hybrid flexibility. Primary Responsibilities Perform financial analysis on new and existing portfolio companies. Lead due diligence calls with company CFOs, CEOs, and growth equity sponsors. Compose credit memorandums. Present analysis to Investment Committee, CSC executives, and syndication partners. Assist with credit issuance and exposure management for existing AUM. Monitor and report on credit risk and exposure for CSC’s portfolio. Perform strategic initiatives as assigned, including special projects for our CIO/President. Requirements 5+ years of experience in financial modeling, operational, and/or strategic decision‑making positions. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically. High agency and high ownership when executing on deadlines.
