Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Confluent Rehabilitation, your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing tailored physical therapy plans designed to prevent disability, alleviate pain, and restore functional abilities.
• Overseeing the execution of the care plans by physical therapy assistants, ensuring adherence to treatment protocols.
• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of clients' functional capabilities through diagnostic tests and physical assessments.
• Adapting rehabilitation strategies based on the client's home environment to promote independence and enhance living conditions.
• Administering a range of therapies including manual therapeutic exercises, traction, and other physical agents as prescribed by physicians.
• Fitting and adjusting prosthetic and orthotic devices, providing recommendations for modifications as necessary.
• Documenting clinical records thoroughly, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries to comply with healthcare regulations and corporate policies.
• Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to collaboratively assess and update treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations.
• Providing education and guidance to clients and their families around their therapy programs and device usage.
• Mentoring and supervising Physical Therapy Assistants in their delivery of care, ensuring quality therapies are administered.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with adult and geriatric patients, each presenting unique rehabilitation needs due to various conditions such as post-surgical recovery, chronic pain syndromes, and neurological impairments. Your focus will be on providing compassionate care that respects the dignity and individual circumstances of each patient, thus empowering them to regain their independence.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) with a valid physical therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a physical therapist, preferably in a clinical or home care setting.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with automotive insurance.
• A commitment to clinical excellence characterized by a passion for patient care and quality service.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary team members.

Compensation and Benefits
