Working independently but reporting to a fleet manager, this driver collaborates closely with waste management staff to ensure efficient and timely service. The role requires careful vehicle operation, load management, and adherence to safety standards while maintaining route schedules.

Responsibilities

• Operate dump trucks safely on local routes for commercial waste collection
• Manage loads to ensure secure and compliant transport of materials
• Adhere strictly to safety regulations and company policies
• Plan and follow efficient routes to optimize time and fuel usage
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure equipment functionality
• Perform routine maintenance and report any mechanical issues promptly
• Maintain accurate delivery and service records as required
• Interact professionally with customers and waste management staff
• Ensure proper disposal of commercial waste in designated areas
• Manage time effectively to meet scheduled pick-up and delivery targets

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in commercial truck driving
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Holding a valid CDL Class B license
• Strong knowledge of Commercial Driver's License (CDL) requirements and regulations
• Effective route navigation and planning skills
• Proficient in vehicle inspection and routine maintenance practices
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• Driver starts ASAP
