Can you work well with chapel staff, volunteers and families in a multi-faith setting? The role Seymour Johnson AFB Chapel is seeking a Protestant Religious Education Coordinator to support its Protestant RE program on a part-time, 1099 contract basis. This role is central to the planning, organization and delivery of religious education activities. You will help keep programs running smoothly, support volunteers, manage records and ensure events are well prepared. Key Responsibilities Organize and maintain the Protestant RE program Support program schedules, budgets, publicity and curriculum planning Recruit, train and manage volunteers Arrange facilities, supplies and learning resources Record attendance and maintain electronic rosters Support Vacation Bible School or an equivalent program Prepare after-action reports following special events Help ensure chapel spaces are clean, secure and ready for use Follow copyright, confidentiality and chapel procedures The Benefits Part-time contract role Around 24 hours per week 1099 contractor arrangement Meaningful work within a military chapel environment Varied duties across education, events, volunteers and administration The person You will need at least three years of Protestant RE leadership experience, ideally in a Protestant church or military chapel setting.
