Dietary Aides - Applewood, Matteson, IL
Generations at Applewood in Matteson, Illinois, has immediate openings for a dietary aide to work early morning to 2p. Position available is full-time. Must have food handler certificate. Healthcare dietary experience required -- not fast food.
Rate: $16.00 per hour!
Hours are: 6:30a-2:00p - days may vary and will be worked out with the food service manager. Every other weekend is required.

Responsibilities of the dietary aide:
- Assist in the preparation and service of food and beverages for residents as assigned
- Coordinate daily dietary services with the nursing staff
- Read and interpret diet cards
- Deliver food to residents' rooms
- Set up/take down dining areas
- May take inventory of food and supplies
- Ensure work areas are clean, organized and safe
- Dishwashing and other tasks as assigned
Requirements of the dietary aide:
- Previous dietary experience in a healthcare facility - not fast food
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must have food handler certification
- Basic awareness/knowledge of sanitation practices as it relates to food preparation
- Ability to read, speak and understand English
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must have compassion and tolerance for older adults
- Deliver excellent customer service with a smile!
- Must be deemed eligible to work in healthcare by IDPH; may require fingerprinting. No waivers accepted.
