Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our assisted living community in Lakeland, Florida. This full-time position is ideal for a graduate clinician looking to complete their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and obtain their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP). We provide comprehensive CFY supervision and mentorship to help you launch a successful career in geriatric speech therapy while making a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. Our ideal candidate will continue working with us past oversight and will be compensated accordingly as a CCC-SLP. Duties Conduct comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing assessments Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for residents Provide therapy services for dysphagia, cognitive-communication disorders, voice disorders, and speech impairments Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including nursing, dietary, and medical staff Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Participate in care plan meetings and family conferences Work toward obtaining CCC-SLP certification under qualified supervision Required Skills Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Florida SLP license or eligibility for licensure Strong communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate approach to working with elderly population Reliable and professional demeanor Desired Skills Clinical experience or coursework in geriatrics, dysphagia, or medical speech pathology Interest in long-term care or assisted living settings Full benefits are available!
