divh2Production Supervisor/h2pThe Production Supervisors role is to support, direct, and manage the workforce and work area to safely produce customer requirements within budgeted costs. Supervisors should spend 80% of their workday on the shop floor and 20% off the floor to perform their assigned responsibilities. Responsible for the efficient and effective management of their area to meet goals including:/pulliSafety Management/liliPolicy/Employee Management/liliTime and Attendance/liliProductivity Management/liliQuality/liliOn-Time Delivery/li/ulpstrongSpecific Duties/strong/pulliAssist the Director of Operations to accomplish plant wide goals by managing employees, selecting jobs, selection and placement of personnel for daily job assignments/liliInspect as needed completed material utilizing hand inspection equipment, i.e. Vernier calipers, micrometer and drop dial indicators as well as Profilometer and CMM machines/liliEnforce Company Rules and Regulations, which apply to this department./liliResponsible for working with hourly employees, human resources and union representatives to staff the department/liliAssist department personnel with any technical guidance necessary/liliEnsure compliance with PPE and Safety procedures. Correct behavioral or conditional risks immediately. Investigate and write up accident reports./liliImprove workplace 6S through daily observations and improvements/liliAssign work daily and move labor to operations necessary to support customer requirements/liliAttend and participate in shift start up Gemba walks/liliTrack Labor and Optimize use of straight and overtime hours/liliManage department spending within budget/liliDevelop/follow a daily production plan that supports customer needs/liliEnsure employees are properly trained and submit all training records/liliMaintain visual displays of work group activity and goals./liliAddress underperformance/workmanship issues with coaching, counseling, and/or progressive discipline, utilizing Human Resources./liliAssist in make-up of schedule; Direct and guide the dispatching and schedule execution./liliSupport/Assist/Lead Lean initiatives/liliEstablish and support team atmosphere within assigned area./liliCross training and creating/maintaining a flexible workforce./liliConduct team Meetings with all direct reports reviewing safety and productivity goals./li/ulpstrongRequirements:/strong/pulli2 or 4 year degree in business management is preferred/liliSupervisory experience in a union environment/liliStrong leadership skills/liliHandle multiple priorities/tasks/liliStrong interpersonal skills/liliExperience with Excel, Word, AS400, Kronos, and SAP are preferred/liliFamiliar with grievance process, Lean manufacturing concepts, and OSHA requirements/li/ulpstrongEqual Pay Act Statement/strong/ppWe aim to pay our ITTers fairly and competitively in the locations that they live and work.
