Welder Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team in Jasper, TN. The ideal candidate will have experience with production, fabrication, or construction welding and the ability to produce high-quality welds while following blueprints, specifications, and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, welding symbols, and engineering specifications. Set up and adjust welding equipment, including amperage, voltage, wire feed speed, and shielding gas settings. Prepare materials by cutting, fitting, cleaning, and deburring steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel surfaces. Perform welding in flat, vertical, and overhead positions while maintaining quality welds. Inspect completed welds for defects such as cracks, porosity, or poor fusion. Maintain and clean welding equipment, including torches, cables, and wire feed assemblies. Follow all safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and proper PPE requirements. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Completion of an accredited welding program or formal apprenticeship preferred. 1–3+ years of verifiable welding, fabrication, or production welding experience preferred. Ability to use power tools such as grinders, chop saws, and plasma cutters. Experience using measuring tools including tape measures and calipers. Ability to safely operate or work around overhead cranes. Ability to stand for extended periods and work in varying temperature environments. Ability to regularly lift 50–75 lbs. Must be proficient in precision welding, including welding thin materials up to 1/16-inch thickness. Must be able to properly use PPE, including auto-darkening helmets, gloves, and respirators.
