Sr. IT Support Technician

Hecker Fink LLP is seeking a Sr. IT Support Technician to work in our Los Angeles office. Qualified applicants will have a passion for delivering remarkable customer experience and success; an excellent understanding of troubleshooting methods for Windows IT environments; strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills; and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The person in this role will serve as an in-person IT resource in our Los Angeles office and will provide additional remote support to users in our New York and Washington D.C. offices under the supervision of (and with escalations support from) the Chief Information Officer. Responsibilities Set up laptops, phones, printers, and other peripherals. Provide end-user support for day-to-day systems and process issues (tier 1 or tier 2), providing personable service that is consistent with various firm policies and procedures. Test and support videoconferencing in the conference center. Account administration under the supervision of the Support Manager and Systems Administrator. Maintain equipment and resolve hardware issues, escalating as needed. Update and maintain inventory of equipment. Manage consumables for copiers and printers. Support full Windows desktop environment with iOS for mobile devices. Coordinate with vendors to resolve hardware and software issues with desktops, laptops, printers, other equipment, and software. Assist with technical upgrading and maintaining entire systems. Support testing and deployment of new applications and systems. Train and guide staff in hardware and software usage. Other special projects / trial support as directed. Available for after-hours support (paid as overtime) on a shared response basis with other members of the support desk team. There is no fixed on-call schedule. Expected to work from the office four days a week with work from home flexibility on an as-needed basis, subject to manager approval. Qualifications The successful candidate will have a combination of employment, educational, and life experience that demonstrates the qualities and skills below: Education and Experience : Minimum five (5) years’ experience within relevant IT fields. Understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT support. Knowledge and Skills : Familiarity with Azure resource maintenance and deployment; intermediate knowledge of PowerShell, SQL, Power BI, Microsoft Office, Acrobat, M365, Windows 10, and iOS. Clear Communication and Attention to Detail : You express yourself clearly and concisely, always highlighting the most important information. You show great accuracy, attention to detail and good organizational skills. You proactively communicate the status of your work and share updates with colleagues when necessary. You ensure that your work is mistake free. Confidentiality: You demonstrate discretion when handling sensitive material and are familiar with concepts of information classification, DLP, etc. You must be able to adhere to Firm policies regarding the protection of confidential data and demonstrate sensitivity to (and good judgment in connection with) confidential attorney, personnel, and Firm matters. Flexibility: You have the ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly. You are versatile and able to respond positively to shifting demands and opportunities. You are comfortable in an environment where your responsibilities may vary from day to day. You demonstrate a "no job too big, no job too small" attitude, and take a collaborative, team-focused approach to rejuggling priorities and contributing to Firm tasks. In addition, the successful candidate will be based in the Los Angeles, CA area and will be available to work 9:00a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, with availability for some travel as needed (e.g., for trial support). Compensation The expected base salary for this role ranges from $90,000 - $110,000 and is dependent on experience.
