This position will provide consultation to internal and external stakeholders, provide considerable analysis and interpretation of data and trends as it relates to the electronic health record. The Clinical Informatics Specialist collaborates with other healthcare and information technology professionals to analyze, design, implement and evaluate information technology systems that enhance individual and population health outcomes, improve patient care and strengthen the clinician-patient relationship.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management PreferencesRecruitment Range: $60,881.00 - $106,544.00Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Ability to interpret regulations, software, applications and operate hardware for the Center's Epic Electronic Health Record.Ability to present ideas in written form, adjust language or terminology to meet needs of the recipient and use correct grammar, organization and structure.Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office Products including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.Management Preferences:Two (2) years of Epic Electronic Health Record experienceCertified as an Epic Clinical Trainer (CT)Conditional Requirements: Ability to successfully complete CPR and CPI or facility adopted de-escalation training.About the Facility:The Walter B. Jones Center operates two adult inpatient treatment programs on site in Greenville, NC: (1) Woodside Treatment Center and (2) Lakeside Psychiatric Hospital. The primary purpose and mission of the Walter B. Jones Center is "To provide inpatient treatment, psychiatric stabilization and medical detoxification for individuals with mental health, substance use and other co-occurring psychiatric diagnoses for ongoing community based treatment and recovery". The Center is accredited by the Joint Commission and SAMHSA/CSAT. Two specialty programs are offered to all 100 NC Counties: (1) Inpatient Opioid Treatment for adults and (2) Inpatient Perinatal Services for women in their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimesters with substance use disorders.Supplemental Contact InformationDHHS uses the Merit-Based Recruitment and Selection Plan to fill positions subject to the State Human Resources Act with the most qualified individuals.
